BOOKING TERMS


Your room reservation and payment constitutes your agreement to be bound by the terms and conditions set out below. We reserve the right to update these conditions at any time without prior notice.
 

  • PRICES

    Room rates are based on either single or double occupancy.
    Breakfast and local tourist taxes (taxe de séjour) at €0.66 per person per night are included in your room rate.

     

  • BOOKING AND PAYMENT

    You can make a booking request through our website, by email or by telephone (+33 05 49 22 81 27 or WhatsApp +33 06 52 00 66 67). 

    A deposit of 50% of the total room price is required at time of reservation, with the remaining balance to be paid at the latest 30 days before arrival.
    Reservations made within 30 days before arrival are to be paid in full at time of booking.
    Short notice reservations made less than 3 days before arrival can be paid on arrival with either cash or (french) cheque.

    We accept the following methods of payment:
    - bank transfer  
    - cash (euros only)

    Payment details will be provided once we receive your booking request.

    *Your accommodation will not be guaranteed until we have received full payment for your reservation.

     

  • CANCELLATION

    Should you need to cancel your reservation please do so by email.

    Cancellations made up to 30 days before arrival do not incur any charges and your payment will be refunded. 
    Cancellations made less than 30 days before arrival incur a fee of 50% of the total price of your booking.
    Cancellations made less than 14 days before arrival, or shortened stays, will not be refunded.

    In the highly unlikely event that we ourselves should need to cancel your reservation, we will inform you without delay and any payment already made by you will be refunded in full.
    We will not accept any liability for our cancellation of your reservation.

     

  • ARRIVAL AND CHECK-OUT

    On the specified day of arrival, your room will be ready for you from 16h00. Please do call us if you will be arriving any later than 19h00. Latest check-out time is strictly 11h00.

     

  • EXTRAS (surcharges apply)

    - table d'hôtes evening meals
    - table d'hôtes lunch
    - packed lunch for your day out.

     

  • PARKING

    Free onsite parking is available.

     

  • PETS

    Although we adore all 4-legged companions, we are not able to accommodate them.

     

  • USE OF PREMISES

    LaDivine is located in the tiny village of Saint Chartres, a place of peace and serenity.
    We expect all our guests to respect the tranquility and lifestyle of our commune and to:

    - respect our property,
    - use the accommodation with respect for its decor and inventory and leave it in perfect condition,
    - have a travel insurance policy which provides full personal liability cover,
    - take strict and sole responsibility for the behaviour of any young children accompanying you,
    - not smoke in any of the buildings.

    Financial compensation for any damage or breakages caused at our property are the sole responsibility of the person making the booking. 
    Anyone found to be smoking indoors will be liable to a cleaning charge of up to €250..

     

  • SECURITY AND PRIVACY

    This website is owned and managed by Claudia Langstone as the proprietor of La Divine and person responsible for the collection and processing of any personal data you provide in connection with your reservation at LaDivine. 

    The personal information we collect from you when you contact us through our website, by email, telephone or social media is:
    - your name,
    - your contact telephone number,
    - your contact email address,
    - your reservation details which may include your sleeping or dietary requirements.

    We may use third-party sources (eg. Booking.com) for your reservation, however only the information detailed above is used by us. Any remaining data is under the control of and protected by these parties' individual privacy policies, for which we are not liable.

    We store the information you provide in a physical diary in order to register your reservation, contact you to confirm your reservation or any details in connection with your reservation and to comply with our legal obligations regarding taxation and any other local regulations. We will keep your personal information for no longer than 6 months after our legal obligations expire. 

    In our strong commitment to protecting your privacy we promise to:
    - ensure the safety and security of your personal information,
    - never sell or share any of your details to any third parties (other than a regulatory authority, the security forces or when ordered to do so by the courts),
    - never keep any personal data for longer than absolutely necessary,
    - only use the information you provide us with lawfully and in accordance with the 2016 General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), 

    You have the right at any point to contact us and request information about what personal information we hold about you, why we hold this information and who has access to it.
